The refund provisions on this page apply to paid products. Free products have no purchase amount to refund. Paid products are digital files delivered after a confirmed payment. This page explains when a refund can be reviewed and how to ask for one.
Digital delivery and refunds
Because paid products are digital, they cannot be returned. Once download access has been issued and the file has been accessed or downloaded, the purchase is generally non-refundable.
That does not mean problems are ignored. The situations below are reviewed on their facts.
What we will review
Contact us and we will look at your order. Asking for a review is not a guarantee of a refund: we check the order record, the delivery record, and the download history before deciding, and where a file problem can be fixed by replacing or reissuing the file we will usually do that first.
- A duplicate charge, where the same product was paid for more than once.
- A file that is corrupted, incomplete, or cannot be opened as the product page described it.
- A delivery that is materially different from the product you bought, such as the wrong file or a missing component that was listed as included.
- A payment that was taken but for which no download access was ever issued.
What is normally not refundable
These are not usually grounds for a refund:
- Changing your mind after the file has been downloaded.
- Buying a product that the page described accurately, and then deciding it is not what you wanted.
- Not having the software, license, or skills needed to open or edit a file, where the requirements were stated on the product page.
- Wanting a format that was not listed as included.
- Asking long after the purchase, where the file was delivered and downloaded without any problem being reported.
How to ask for a refund
Use the contact page. To let us find your order quickly, include:
- the order or transaction reference from your confirmation email,
- the product name, and
- a description of the problem, including what happens when you open the file if that is the issue.
Before contacting your bank
If something is wrong with an order, please contact us first. A chargeback or payment dispute opened before we have had a chance to look at the order takes longer to resolve for everyone, and the related download access may be deactivated while a dispute is open.
How an approved refund is issued
Approved refunds are processed by the payment provider that took the original payment, back to the original payment method. The provider's own processing time applies, and we cannot shorten it.
Where a refund is issued, the download access for that product is normally deactivated.
Your legal rights
Some consumer-protection laws give buyers mandatory rights for digital purchases, which can include a right to cancel or a remedy for a faulty product. Where such a law applies to your purchase, this policy does not limit or replace those rights.
